Throughout the first quarter of 2023, the performance of the top five fast food and fast casual restaurant apps in the Netherlands reflected diverse trends in downloads and active user numbers. This data, provided by Sensor Tower, offers a clear snapshot of the app landscape in this sector.

McDonald’s - Non-US saw its weekly downloads fluctuate, starting at around 20.5K in late December and peaking at approximately 26.9K in the week of January 23. However, downloads declined towards the end of March, settling at about 12.5K. Active users followed a similar pattern, with a peak of roughly 360.5K in late January, before decreasing to around 275.1K by the end of March.

Domino's Pizza Nederland experienced a significant spike in weekly downloads, notably reaching about 60.6K at the end of January. Active users also surged during this period, peaking at 97K. After this peak, both metrics saw a decrease, with downloads falling to 16.1K and active users to 54.6K by the end of March.

KFC Nederland had a more stable performance in terms of downloads and active users. Weekly downloads started at 3.8K at the end of December and gradually declined to around 3.3K by the end of March. Active users mirrored this trend, starting at 14.1K and ending the quarter at approximately 14.7K.

New York Pizza showed a notable spike in downloads at the end of January, reaching around 20K. This was followed by a decline, with weekly downloads dropping to around 1.1K by the end of March. Unfortunately, data on active users for this app was not available.

Lastly, Burger King Nederland maintained a relatively consistent performance. Weekly downloads hovered around 3K to 4K throughout the quarter, while active users remained steady, fluctuating slightly around the 66K to 68K mark.
